Silicon Valley – Downtown San Jose

Deep in Silicon Valley, in the vicinity bordering San Jose and Sunnyvale, exist an educational and research facility known as the Berean Research Institute. This establishment, founded at the beginning of the Millennium, has been funded by various foundations offering endowments and grants to analyze controversial subjects related to science, and nature.

The following established scientific methods are used during all research: 1) perform background research, 2) form a hypothesis, 3) perform an experiment and collect data, 4) analyze results and draw conclusions, and finally 5) report results.

During research, two rules of thought are analyzed—these being diametrically opposed. This has created intense and stressful situations among professors and students in all lab and classroom environments. During chalk talk and skull sessions, there are put-downs, embarrassing statements, humorous dialogues and challenges.

One of the primary propagators of these opposing views is held by Professor of Paleontology, Dubious H. Wishbone Ph.D.—often referred to as “The Quack,” who holds to a evolutionist world view. The other propagator is Professor of Geophysics, Alvin “Wit” Wisenheirmer Ph.D.—often referred to as “Witty Alvin,” who holds to an creationist world view. Holding a neutral view and sometimes acting as referee between the two is Professor Wisestien, an adjunct professor from MIT, who holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics, and is also a National Science Foundation fellow. In addition there are the students, research associates and assistants.

Similar to a typical university, there are labs setup with traditional tools, computer mainframes and servers. A few classrooms are setup in amphitheater fashion. In these settings, heated conversations involve the Big-Bang theory, creation versus evolution, geophysical constructs, the origin of man, and so forth. Guest lectures are often invited, and other academic institutions are consulted to solicit verification and alternative views. To set the record straight, these are fictitious accounts meant to keep the reader thinking and grinning.

Since this blog has been setup under the SonnyBoyStory website, it offers me an outlet to expound my addiction to science, nature and my Christian convictions.
